Our Face-to-face Clinical Bridging Course is a full-time program taught by practitioners in their respective fields. During classroom-based sessions, you will be taken through a range of clinical subjects and learn how to apply them to practice in Australia.

The Specialty Health curriculum covers psychiatry, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology and population & community health content.

Class times: 9:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend classes may be scheduled.

Upon registering for any course, you will be automatically enrolled in HEAL's exclusive platform for HEAL students, IMG Connect, where you can access free resources to help you confidently transition into the Australian medical workforce once you pass your AMC exams.

Course Inclusions

  • Interaction with trained Simulated Patients – Students can practice their consultation skills with trained Simulated Patients.
  • Communication and language skills – an expert in communications and language (from Victoria University) will teach you the appropriate approach to patients for the Australian healthcare setting (and for the exam).
  • Interactive workshops – students will take part in role-plays focussed on common AMC scenarios.
  • Access to the Therapeutic Guidelines – students will have access to the full Therapeutic Guidelines database for the duration of the course.
  • Access to HEAL online – HEAL’s Learning Management System (HEAL Online) provides a significant amount of information on relevant and current AMC topics for you to review throughout the duration of the course.

Required Course Materials

This course includes the AMC Handbook of Clinical Assessment at no extra cost.

Course entry requirements

  • Proficiency in the English language is recommended
  • A police check is required to be submitted on the first day of the course
