Whilst every endeavour has been made to ensure the information and materials, are accurate and up to date as possible, it is recommended that users consult formal texts and guidelines if they wish to use the information to manage clinical situations. HEAL provides no guarantee, warranty or representation (express or implied) as to the accuracy of the information and by accessing materials , each user agrees that he/she has undertaken his/her own research and shall not make any claim nor demand upon HEAL in respect of the same.

Privacy

HEAL deals with the collection, security, quality, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. For more information please refer to our privacy policy.

Copyright in the information on this website is owned by HEAL or is copyright made use of under licence or applicable law. This information must not be transmitted to any other person or incorporated into any other document or other material without the prior written permission of HEAL.

HEAL owns all title, ownership rights, intellectual property rights and copyright in all of the information and materials contained in HEAL Online, unless expressly stated otherwise. Any reproduction, transmission, publication, performance, broadcast, alteration, licence, hyperlink, creation of derivative works or other use in whole or in part in any manner without the prior written consent of HEAL is strictly prohibited.  

No information in HEAL materials is to be used for commercial or other purpose (except for personal and educational use) unless HEAL gives its prior written consent to such use.

When a user accesses HEAL materials, the user agrees to do so on the following conditions:

  1. The user may retrieve or review the material only for that user’s personal information and educational use;
  2. The user may save a local copy of materials for that user’s own personal information but that user may not use any HEAL materials for any commercial benefit;
  3. The user must keep all material intact and in the same form as presented in HEAL materials; it may not be modified without the express permission of HEAL; and
  4. The user must not use HEAL materials for any purpose which is unlawful or prohibited.

By accessing HEAL’s materials, each user unconditionally agrees to these Terms and Conditions and as it may be modified and/or supplemented from time to time by HEAL without notice.

Appropriate use

All information and activity in HEAL Online should be used in a lawful, ethical and responsible manner. The teaching and learning activities conducted by Health Education Australia Limited are governed by Codes of Conduct for staff and participants engaging with these materials and attending activities.

All other HEAL policies related to privacy and appropriate behaviour should be followed. In addition, we expect all contributions made to be courteous and not designed to cause offence.

 

Additional Terms and Conditions for HEAL course applications

Eligibility Requirements

Some courses have eligibility requirements. For those courses, applicants must meet all specified eligibility requirements before they attend the course. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure they meet eligibility requirements. 

Applicants will be advised by email if they are successful.

Course Fees

The fee is not transferrable to another course or person.

The entire course fee is payable prior to course commencement.

All of our prices are stated in Australian dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services tax (GST) where applicable. All of our transactions are processed in Australian dollars (AUD).

Applicants applying from overseas must pay by credit card only (Mastercard or Visa).

Refund Policy

Unless otherwise specified, withdrawal fee refund policy is as follows:

  • More than 2 weeks before course commences - 10% will be retained by HEAL.
  • Less than 2 weeks before course commences - 25% will be retained by HEAL.
  • Post commencement - no refund will be given. 
  • For Clinical Trial Exams only - there will be no refund for withdrawals within 2 weeks of the exam date; or for failing to attend the exam. 

Course Cancellations

HEAL reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses due to unforeseen circumstances. In such circumstances we will make every effort to ensure that applicants are either placed on the next available course or the registration fee will be refunded in full.

Course Content

HEAL reserves the right to make changes to courses at any time without notice where necessary.

Online Payments

When making an online payment on the HEAL Online Shop (Enrolmart) your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest encryption technology. If you have any questions regarding our security policy, please contact us. 

GST

Goods Services Tax (GST) will be charged in Australia.  Where GST is not applicable, this constitutes an administration charge.
