This course is designed to raise health professionals’ awareness of the impact that culture and collaboration has on the delivery of safe patient quality care.

Learning objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify blindspots and barriers that hinder the provision of healthcare for patients within a clinical governance framework of quality and safety
  • Explore your own cultural assumptions and biases and those of your team members
  • Describe the impact of culture on your patients
  • Describe important elements of a team culture and interprofessional collaboration in healthcare
  • Analyse existing workplace culture
  • Describe how culture impacts on the health workforce in Australia and New Zealand.

Upon purchase of this course you will have access for a four week period. The four weeks begins from the time of purchase and you can return to the course at any time within the period you are subscribed.

It is estimated that you will need to spend approximately two hours per module and six hours in total on this course. You don’t have to complete the modules in one sitting. 

Certificate: Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a certificate which you should retain for your records.
